I screamed about the black dye I lost, I can only imagine.
I had spent all my money for a festival and while out on one of the event quests, a black dye dropped for me. I thought "Score! I'm not broke anymore!" I went to the merchant to get rid of the other drops because it was an early zone...going down the list...clicking to sell. I got the the black dye and thought that I had gone up to the menu and clicked the next item after it, but when I hit the button to sell, my dye disappeared! I screamed!
The ecto trader/merchant difference isn't quite as bad as the black dye trader/merchant difference, but for the amount that you lost...I'd be ripping my face off and crying "OMG what have I done?!"

As others have said before - put 1 or 2 unsellable things in your inventory at all times so that you have a buffer. Customized weapon, hero's handbook, minipet, something. Then put everything important either before (skip past weapon to start spam clicking sell) or after (so that you hit a wall).
But as was said before by Rhamia Darigaz, yes, this is totally worse than the "hullocawst."

did you never see the picture of the guy, with the "your party has been defeated" on screen, lying next to the Q9 eternal blade assigned to him? that's worse.

/agree That would just be horrible. You can go back and get 33 ectos resonably easily compared to getting another req9 eternal blade drop.

My comparable idiot move
had just bought some 15K armor and had not put it on yet. While on a run ran out of space so started salvaging items in my inventory to make space. you guessed it - salvaged my 15K templar helm to 28 iron without ever even wearing it. Who said warriors are dumb ?

You do know you are playing a game and if you consider 5 hours lost, maybe you should find something more entertaining to do.

lets all cry for loosing fake cash.
u wasted 5 hours of your weekend to farm UW,i mean wtf?
even u think its boring, so why do it?
to look leet? to raise your e-peen?
all u need to be accepted is either a guild, or ursan for pugs.
grow up, fake cash is still faje, makes no difference is Mr.Leet has 5000k and u have 5k, its fake
Id rather spend 5 hours with my family, friends, girlfriend etc, that play a game
